Brayden Handwerger is a professionally trained singer and actor who loves working in all mediums, theatre, television, and film. As a singer, Brayden performs a wide variety of styles, such as classical, musical theatre, rock, pop, and contemporary. Brayden is trained with a delicate mixture of techniques like Speech Level Singing (SLS) and Bel Canto by Andy Boettner and Rebecca Drake. Most recently seen as Kyle in Brat TV's "Scarlett's Lab", he has also performed in a multitude of shows all across San Diego and Los Angeles. Some notable works include Jean Valjean (Les Mis), Miss Agatha Trunchbull (Matilda), Tom Collins (RENT), Phoebus (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Cosmo Brown (Singin' In The Rain), Judas/John (Godspell), Edna Turnblad (Hairspray), Kristoff (Originated Role, Frozen Jr.), and others. Brayden dedicates every day to learning and creating, and currently is studying acting with directors David Rountree and Blake Nakoa.
Brayden was raised in a very musical household beginning to play the violin at 8 and the cello at 10. Brayden played cello in his middle school and high school orchestras for five years, even going as a far as to tour multiple cities in China with a small chamber orchestra. He now plays the piano, keyboards, bass guitar, and writes music. Brayden has sung in multiple elite choirs in Southern California including the San Diego Master Chorale and the Southern California Regional Honor Choir. Brayden is well versed in music theory, and continues to study it with the goal of fluency.
Ever since childhood, Brayden's passion has been creating. A young man growing up in the digital world, the further devolution of human connectiveness inspired him to create art with the ultimate goal of uniting people. Brayden loves to write rock music, but with his own style, combining elements of the singer- songwriter genre, heartland rock, and progressive rock. His debut work tackles the shared dysphoria of young adults growing up in the post 9/11 world, and his experiences as a mixed race kid in early 2000's suburbia. Keep an eye out for new music coming very soon...
